Rockford AWAY

The boys ran a great race and took home a 2nd place finish out of 4 schools.  Leading the guys was Max Schabb who got 5th place.  He was backed up by Trent Bouchard and Jarrett Bassett with 7th and 9th places.  Brenden Mansfield and Jay Arsnoe also scored for the rockets with 16th and 17th place.  Nice Run Guys!

The Lady Rockets WON the meet with Maryssa Depies in 2nd place, Tess Gearhardt in 3rd, Courtney Boersema in 6th, Rebecca Bride and Lauren Jones in 9th and 10th places.  It was a great race and the girls worked hard for their win!

Mona Shores, Whitehall & Montegue Meet

Leading for the Rockets was Maryssa Depies. She had the winning time of 13:07! She was followed by Tess Gearhardt in 3rd, Lauren Jones in 5th, Rebecca Bride in 6th, and Courtney Boersema in 8th! The team took 1st place, NICE WORK LADIES!

The boys leader was Trent Bouchard in 9th place with Max Schabb and Jarrett Bassett right behind him in 10th and 11th places.  Jay Arsnoe and Brenden Mansfield also scored with 14th and 15th places.  The boys had a great race and took home 2nd place! WAY TO RUN GUYS!!

This is great stuff for your first race!! We are very proud and excited to see what you kids can do!

Great practice yesterday, this is the first meet so grab an 8th grader and go with them:) You have been working hard you will all do great!

Today we will warm up then head to my house to stretch so I can get uniforms distributed.  Parents need to pick up runner from the Middle school at 4pm.

Tomorrow at the Winter Sports Complex. The bus will pick up runners right after school by band doors. Get dressed first then head out by those door and I will meet you there.  We will run the trails then maybe head to the lake for a little dip so you may want to bring towel.  Parents pick up runners at the WSC at 4:25pm.

A Few Changes!!!

1.  Tomorrows practice will be at the Middle School because we need to hand out uniforms. 2:45-4pm
2. Mona Shores Meet-Race times have changed

Note we may not ever get to the High School due to most of meets are on Wednesdays.

This weekend

Nice work at practice today!!  Remember to get a run in this weekend 10-20mins at least even if your sore.  The run will loosen ya up and you will feel better.  Get good sleep and eat healthy be ready for Monday's workout at the middle school 2:45-4pm.

Team Meeting

Today in the Cafe right after school...well give me a few mins to get the copies made.  My sitter is a MS student so when the bell rings she will head to my house and I will head to the office to pick up papers.  Sorry for the wait but I have a sick kid today and I don't want to infect the school to make copies earlier:)

Runners make me proud...

• Head to the Cafe after the bell
• Get a few tables down and some chairs ready
• Make the newbies (7th graders) feel welcome
• Don't get too crazy and loud so that a teacher comes looking for me

I will be there shortly and we will get started! Coach Grant and I cannot wait for the season to begin!  We should finish up 3:45/4pm, let your rides home know.
